DEAFWAX History
DEAFWAX
is the world’s first deaf heritage wax exhibition of prominent deaf and hearing figures. Founder and wax artisan, Don Baer received training in wax techniques under his mentor, Ken Horn of the Hollywood Wax Museum.
Established in 1998, DEAFWAX is a non-profit organization bringing exhibits to different schools and venues. The ultimate vision of DEAFWAX is to create a total of 150 wax figures that have made an impact on
Deaf history which in turn, would be in a permanent museum one day.
